Yuzevandra Chahal or commonly known as Yuzi Chahal is one of the most famous cricketers in India. Yuzi had received a lot of fame at a very young age which is something that many of his predecessors, if not all, could not achieve until they got experienced. However, life knocked him down just at the time when he seemed that he had everything good at his disposal. And this happened in the form of a painful divorce.
One of the most trending topics regarding Yuzavendra’s life is his divorce with former wife Dhanashree Chahal or Dhanashree Verma which is her original surname. This divorce has been reported to have broken Mr. Chahal mentally, as per his statements to the news media. However, what is even more shocking is how the judiciary is treating Mr. Chahal and his wife’s actions. So let us see what this shows about how much Indian society has degraded in terms of moral values.
What Happened to Yuzi Chahal?
Yuzavendra Chahal divorced his wife Dhanashree after a marriage that lasted for only two and a half years. Mr. Chahal has not revealed the exact date of their divorce. In fact, he and his wife have not revealed much information as to why they got divorced in the first place. However, many of their social media posts and pictures do give many strong hints about why this happened.
Many of Dhanashree’s posts on her own Instagram account showed her dancing and enjoying with men other than her husband. Although she did post pictures with her husband on social media as well, her expressions in those pictures with her husband were blank in comparison to the ones where she is seen with other men.
The two men who are being suspected of having enticed Dhanashree are Shreyas Iyer and Pratik Utekar. Mr. Shreyas is a dance choreographer who worked alongside Dhanashree who also was in the same profession. She had posted many pictures with him on social media where both seemed to be enjoying each other’s company. However, Pratik Utekar seems to be the main person behind this divorce.
This is because Mr. Utekar, who also is a fellow choreographer, has been seen accompanying Dhanashree on many occasions. The latest photo of both being in a rather close position and enjoying each other’s presence and even wearing clothes of the same color indicates a lot of things.
On the other hand, her husband Yuzi Chahal had never been involved with any other woman apart from Dhanashree. Based on the pictures of Dhanashree with other men, and Yuzi’s claims of her being way too spendthrift and neglectful towards him and their relationship, you might think that Dhanashree’s attitude was the reason for their divorce. However, the court’s reaction to this is even more shocking.
Mr. Chahal has not said much about the divorce trial or in which court it is going on. However, he did admit that Dhanashree is claiming an amount of 60 Crore INR from him. And the court has also accepted this decision as well. Mr. Chahal also said that he has much evidence about his former wife being unfaithful. But the court has not accepted any of this evidence.
In India, men who are involved in an affair with a married woman are generally punished. However, neither of the two men mentioned above has faced any charges whatsoever. And Dhanashree also has not been asked to visit the court unlike her former husband. This has put Mr. Chahal in a lot of turmoil as this alimony will take away most of his recent earnings.
What This Case Shows About Indian Society?
The case shown above proves that the Indian judiciary and even the society is not working as one can expect. People who are at no fault are being punished while those who are doing bad things are getting away with their act. The tragic case of Atul Subhash shows that the Indian judiciary and even the society is heavily biased against men especially if they are innocent.
The society also shows that most people look at innocent men as weak and then torture, harrass and maybe even kill them while men who are actually bad roam free. Despite Indian citizens showing themselves to be very caring towards the safety of women, cases like the RG Kar rape and murder incident have not been solved as of now. But cases where a woman is falsely accusing and destroying a hard-working, innocent man’s life are being celebrated as some sort of women empowerment and girl power.
In fact, this can be seen by how many people are celebrating Dhanashree’s decision of charging such an alimony and cheating on her husband on social media. Hence, all this shows that logic, empathy and morality seems to be missing among people these days. If people do not question what they are doing and blindly follow trends out of emotion and pure pressure then this will lead to a disastrous end.
