
The state where everything is happening in front of our eyes but as usual the justice is never found because the Chief Minister is as blind as the people of Bangladesh. Throughout these months so many things are going on. The people of these states are suffering with minor to major issues which are affecting the middle classes.
Bengal last in Justice Delivery.
Bengal has ranked last in the India justice port among the 18 large states analysed according to their capacity to deliver justice. The report ranks states by assessing the performance of police, prisons, legal aid, judiciary and state human rights commissioners among others. Bengal had secured last place in the previous report published in 2022 as well. However, this time, the state has topped the chart on parameter the performance of the SHRC.
The report which has analysed data from 2022 to 2025 is a joint endeavour of six NGOs and think tanks such as the Centre for social justice, common cause, commonwealth human rights initiative, Dakhsh,TISS Prayas and Vidhi Centre for legal policy. In 2022-2023 the SHRC in Bengal cleared 96.5 percent of cases, higher than the SHRC average of 60.4 percent and the NHRC’s 78.2 percent. Also, 42.86 percent of its investigation staff are women, lower only then Karnatala with 43.37 percent. Karnataka has topped the overall IJR rankings. The report reveals that though the SHRC in Bengal has utilized its entire budget and has no vacancies in its executive staff, it still has 25.5 percent. The report chief editor, Maja Daruwalla states. The reputation of Bengal is going downwards rather than upwards and its a classic example of how the ministers in place are not working or being laid back with their title just to show off.
TMC failure to sense buildup to protest.
The disconnection of local Trinamool Congress leaders with common people, particularly Muslims, in Samserganj had left the party unaware of the buildup to the massive waqf protests that ultimately turned into a communal clash. Since the onset of violence in Murshidabad, several local TMC leaders, including Janigipur MP khalilur Rahaman have accused outsiders of hijacking the waqf protest and turning it into destructive violence. Many TMC leaders have questioned how the local leadership in Samserganj, home to four lawmakers, failed to anticipate such a large gathering and questioned the party’s disconnect with the local people, particularly the minorities. The things that happened there claimed the popular front of India, currently a banned organization once had a strong organizational setup in samserganj suti and a few other pocketers in Murshidabad. After the ban those associated with the group formed several splinter islamist outfits and continued pursuing their agendas.

Murishidabad cry: Sleep on Streets?
At least 19 people, mostly women, who had fled violence hit Samserganj and taken refuge at a Malda school have returned home within 24 hours after police reassurances about safety and livelihood. However after returning on Monday, many of their homes were demolished or burnt down. The streets are filled with one question “where do we live now?” the streets are the only place left for us now, there’s is nothing but ashes where our home once stood. Around 150 houses certain Samserganj localities were torched or Vandalism on Friday on the communal violence sparked by protest against the newly passed waqf Amendment Act on friday. Many families from areas like bettina began fleeing on sunday at least 170 people mostly women, taking shelter at Parlalpur high school in Malda’s Kaliachak – 11 block. Many other fled to the homes of their relatives at Pakur in Jharkhand.
Elderly Man Killed Over Dispute in Halisahar.
In Birbhum district, two tribal women were beaten to death by villagers who accused them of practicing witchcraft. Six individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident. The case highlights the persistence of superstitious practices leading to violence in certain areas, and as usual the police are not taking action in any form.
