Canadian politics seems to be facing a lot of trouble currently. These problems range from problematic city infrastructure, too much illegal immigration, racism against Indians and indigenous tribes and also support of Khalistani terrorists. In fact, the last problem seems to be really bothersome for the country’s ministers.
However, the nation faced another blow in the face when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau decided to resign. This has caused a massive gap to be filled in Canadian politics. But the greater problem in this case is the fact that many unresolved issues in this country are still lingering and there is no one to fix those problems. The Failures of Justin Trudeau
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had always been under people’s negative attention ever since he became the Prime Minister. Most Canadians always criticized him for not being efficient or bold enough as a leader and catering to the demands of other nations rather than that of the people of his own country.
Mr. Trudeau has not been able to enhance the nation’s economy in an ethical manner. Rather he has been accused of increasing the problem of drug consumption by allowing more drugs to be imported here which were not even approved by most researchers. He has also done nothing to prevent crimes, especially against minorities or immigrants.
In fact, crime as a whole has increased by more than 50% during Mr. Trudeau’s nine year term. Arrested individuals have said that they either committed crime due to inflation and lack of jobs or simply because of hate towards other communities.
However, Justin Trudeau’s major blunder is the fact that he has done nothing to stop certain people from the Sikh community of Indian origins from committing terrorist acts. This has caused criticism from India where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is desperately trying to stop Khalistani terrorists from doing violent acts. This actually led to certain Indian origin criminals of all people to shoot down Sikhs who are associated with Khalistani groups.
Apart from all this, Justin Trudeau has done nothing to negotiate with American President Donald Trump to stop an increase in taxes on import and export operations between both nations. This can be very harmful for all businesses in Canada who send or receive supplies from the USA. Because of all these blunders, Mr. Trudeau’s own Party members are now opposing him. Because of this, he has now decided to officially resign.
What Happens Next?
It is unknown as to what happens next in the Canadian political environment. Canada now desperately needs a better Prime Minister who will be more efficient than Trudeau. However, relations with nations like India and the USA have deteriorated due to Mr. Trudeau’s inaction.
The crime rates in this nation have also increased recently. Roads and other infrastructure now resemble almost like that of third world nations. And let us not forget the problem of terrorism which can cause a rift between India and Canada. Only time will tell if these problems will be solved or not.
