Kid Cudi is expected to testify in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex-crimes trial later this week. Cudi is potentially going to begin his testimony either on May 21 or May 22. Cudi, whose legal name is Scott Mescudi, is the one-time fling of Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cassi” Ventura Fine. Her former partner testified last week that Combs’ allegedly blew up his car after finding out about their pairing. Despite all the tension, Cudi will testify in the ongoing federal sex-crimes trial of Diddy. Read this article to know more about the rapper’s involvement in the trial.
Ventura’s Fine Claims Against Sean “Diddy” Combs’
On May14, Venture Fine testified that Combs’ violence against her also extended to other people, including Kid Cudi. Ventura had briefly dated Cudi in 2011 when there was a break in her relationship with Combs’ after their musical collaboration. She said that she was threatened by Combs’ over her relationship with Cudi.
Cassie Alleged Diddy Threatened to Leak “Freak off” Videos During Her Romance with Cudi
During her four-day court testimony, Ventura Fine testified that after Combs’ found out about her relationship with Cudi by reading emails on her phone, he took to violence. After Combs’ saw the email exchanges between Ventura and his former assistant Capricorn Clark about bringing a toiletry bag to Cudi’s house, he was pissed off and moved towards her with a wine bottle opener between his fingers.
Ventura said that was able to escape and contacted Cudi at a different hotel using her burner phone. After that, she immediately went to Combs’ mansion to talk about the situation and resolve that at the moment. But “he was irate, so angry”, she said, and he threatened to leak explicit videos of her engaging in “freak off” sessions.
Ventura Fine Testified Against Sean “Diddy” Combs’ in Court
In court, Ventura Fine testified that “Combs’ said that he was going to hurt Scott and I.” She also said that while leaving the conversation on his way out of the mogul’s house, Sean “kicked me on the back on my way out and I fell to the floor.” She also testified that she suffered a large bruise on her back due to the incident and later returned to the hotel.
After she came back to her room, someone had peed on her floor, knocked over the furniture around, and also defecated in the toilet without flushing. “ It was disgusting,” she said. The court also saw evidence of an email that Ventura Fine sent on Dec 23, 2011. She used her alias “Veronica Bang” and sent the email to her mom, Regina Ventura, and Clark. The subject line was “Threats.”
‘What Vehicle?’ Diddy Said When Asked About Blowing Up Kid Cudi’s Car
Ventura Fine also testified that Combs told her in advance about blowing up Cudi’s car and that he wanted the rapper’s friends to see that happen. Rolling Stone had previously reported that a LA City Fire Department report confirmed that Kid Cudi’s Porsche was set on fire via an “incendiary device” on Jan 9, 2012, in Los Angeles.
Cudi came to visit Fine in Connecticut but she broke up with him as it was too dangerous to continue this relationship. This is primarily due to Combs’ threats to hurt them. After that, Fine, Combs’ and Cudi met at a SoHo house where they discussed that Ventura and Cudi were no longer in a relationship. As per Ventura’s testimony Cudi asked, “what about my vehicle?” to which Combs responded “what vehicle?”
Combs’ Had Arranged for Cassie to Meet Cudi in 2011
Cassie also testified last week that Combs’ had arranged for her to meet Cudi many times in 2011 to work on music. She said that her relationship with Cudi began later that year and she also got a burner phone so that both of them could communicate in the relationship without Combs’ getting to know about it. But ultimately, Combs’ got to know about that and then all the mess started.
End Note
As the legal proceedings against Sean “Diddy” Combs continued, the potential testimony of Cudi marks an important development in this case. His involvement could shed some light on relevant allegations and offer greater insight into circumstances surrounding the trial. With more big names potentially stepping forward in this trial, the case’s outcome is likely to have long-lasting implications for everyone involved and the entire Hollywood industry. Only time will tell what’s going to happen with Diddy in the near future if he’s found guilty of every convicted crime.
