The Plot

Driven to find the truth, Sam and Torres probe and find that former scientist Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson) is planning a mind-control operation to dominate Ross. Ross changes into the Red Hulk as hostilities rise, setting up a dramatic fight in the White House. Reminding Ross of his humanity, Sam confronts him and enables him to return to his natural state. The movie ends with Sam reiterating his will to lead the Avengers and Isaiah’s release from prison. A post-credit scene suggests impending hazards from other realms, therefore preparing the ground for next MCU movies.
USA Today’s Review
Brian Truitt from USA Today gave this Marvel film 2 and a half out of 4. He wrote that the director’s geopolitically tinged “Brave New World” is a turbulent tale that starts as a paranoid thriller (a la ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’) and devolves into a campy ‘Hulk smash!’ fest.” However, Truitt also praised Mackie saying he “faithfully has taken the Captain America mantle from Chris Evans and given Cap new swagger and vulnerability.”
