Popular country music legend Alan Jackson received a lifetime achievement award at the ACM awards. Jackson is a legendary American country music singer-songwriter who has written many of his songs. He is also popular for performing a style widely known as “neotraditional country”. Due to his immense contribution towards country music, he was presented with this unique award. He Received a Standing Ovation

Country music legend Alan Jackson also received a standing ovation during the opening monologue during the 60th ACM awards when his name was mentioned. This easily explains why the ACM’s new lifetime achievement award is named after Jackson, who is also the first recipient. After he performed his hit song “ Remember When”, Jackson took to the mic and thanked everyone for this special honour.

He said ‘Usually one of my fans tells me that they named their dog after me, and I thought that was really something’ The legendary singer also commented ‘I came to Nashville with a paper sack full of songs and a crazy dream and after all these years later I am standing here receiving such an honor is mindblowing. I thank God all the time for the people that have been a part of my life and career and maintain this all the time.’

Jackson’s Legacy Was Also Previously Honored by Country Industry

Alan Jackson has been felicitated with lifetime achievement awards before. In 2022 and 2024, Nashville Songwriters Association and the Country Music Association honored his years of delivering legendary country songs. During the 2022 CMA awards, Jackson received the association’s Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award after an all-star tribute performance by many renowned artists.

Carrie Underwood said ‘the very first concert I went to was an Alan Jacskon concert. Seeing him perform inspired me to pursue my dreams.’ She also added ‘ It has been said that country music is three chords and the truth. And in every one of Allan’s songs, there is truth because his powerful voice speaks to us about hope and heartache, fun and friendship, tragedy, triumph, life, love,and more.’

Jackson Also Received the ACM Poets Award

During the 2024 ACM Honours ceremony, Jackson also received the Poets award acknowledging his talent in songwriting. The hosts of the show back then Carly Pearce and Jordan Davis honored Jackson by performing two of his songs namely “ Don’t ride the Jukebox” and “Chasin that Neon Rainbow”.

Jackson Thanked his Wife Denise at the ACM Awards

Jackson didn’t forget to thank one special person out there and that was his wife Denis Jackson. He said ‘ One Person , who’s been my best friend since I was 17 years old and that’s my wife Denis out there. She loved me through the good and the bad, the happy and the sad. She influenced me, gave me three beautiful daughters, and has helped me keep my feet on the ground all these years. I would not be here without her support.’
